Sharmistha Ghosh
Abstract:
The capital market of a country holds great significance with respect to its economic growth. Capital markets in India as well as across the globe are progressively getting interconnected. The new financial instrument for tapping the international markets may be termed as Depository Receipts (DRs). A depositary receipt is a negotiable financial instrument issued by a bank to represent a foreign company's publicly traded securities. It is a type of negotiable (transferable) financial security that is traded on a local stock exchange but represents a security, usually in the form of equity that is issued by a foreign publicly listed company. Recently, Depository Receipts, especially, American Depository Receipts (ADR) and Global Depository Receipts (GDR) have become a popular investment alternative for the investors in India. ADR were first issued in 1927 and they account for the maximum number of trades in comparison to GDRs. Why The Rights of Nature should be Inalienable Part of Tourism Management
A S.Radhakrishna Pillai
Abstract:
Now that tourism has attained exponential growth rate and is the second largest industry in the world in terms of employment and revenue turnover, it is time to have a look at its environmental and social cost; how it tears into the rights of nature to exist and evolve; how it affects the rights of host communities. In its different forms to minimize negative impacts – sustainable, eco and responsible tourism – the final shot is called by market forces, not by concern for nature which is tourism’s basic resource. Vigorous promotion of tourism has been part of development strategy adopted by many developing and third world countries. Conflict between two approaches – developmental extremism and environmental fundamentalism has been there. How to strike a balance between the two is the moot question.
Key Words: Rights of Nature, environmental and social cost, developmental extremism, environmental fundamentalism.

A.Abdul Brosekhan & Dr.C.Muthu Velayutham
Abstract:
In Present Marketing Scenario, the Study of Consumer Behavior has become essential. Consumers are the kings of markets. Without consumers no business organization can run. All the activities of the business concerns end with consumers and consumer satisfaction. Customer behavior study is based on consumer buying behavior, with the customer playing the three distinct roles of user, payer and buyer. In any business organization, rapid change in consumer buying behavior is a big challenge in sustainable growth of the business. In developing country like India, there is need to formulate and successfully implement strategies related to consumer buying behavior because there are fewer resources to meet the basic requirements of the business. Rapidly changing consumer buying behavior is an obstacle in the growth of business because, it leads to heavy losses due to obsolete stock of the organization. The study of Consumer Buying Behaviour is quite complex and very often not considered rational, because of many variables involved and their tendency to interact with & influence each other. A further challenge is that consumer personalities differ across borders and also between and within regions. Taste, behavior and preference of consumers cannot be ignored because consumers are the 'Kings' of market. Consumer behavior is a complex, dynamic, multidimensional process, and all marketing decisions are based on assumptions about consumer buying behavior. Therefore, marketing strategies related to consumer buying behavior are made to beat cut throat competition in global context.

Measuring Service Quality in Private Healthcare using SERVPERF Scale
Byju K.P.M, Research Scholar & Dr.Y.Srinivasulu
Abstract:
Measuring service quality is one of the most researched area in services marketing context. Researchers over the past three decades have developed various measurement instruments to measure service quality and its relationship with that of customer satisfaction leading to future purchase intentions. SERVQUAL and SERVPERF are the two widely used instruments across the globe by the service sector for measuring service quality. The expectations minus perception approach by Parasuraman and others has got serious critics even though it is the most adopted one till date. Many felt that expectations have multiple dimensions hence it is hard to measure. Cronin and Taylor then came up with SERVPERF as they strongly believed that performance model is more convenient in measuring service quality. Further research showcased its superiority in terms of better reliability, convergent and discriminant validity and less bias than SERVQUAL. Incorporation of SERVPERF in Indian service segment especially in healthcare is in its nascent stage only. This article intends to measure the service quality determinants in a private hospital using SERVPERF scale, both from patients and their attendant’s perspective. The results show that there is no major difference in service quality perceptions between patients and their attendants. Responsiveness, Empathy and Tangibility are the three main factors associated with overall customer satisfaction.

Market Study of HCL Networking Products amongst the Dealers in Chennai City
S.Arumugam
Abstract:
Modern computing can probably be traced back to the ‘Harvard Mk I’ and Colossus (both of 1943). Colossus was an electronic computer built in Britain at the end of 1943 and designed to crack the German coding system. These computers were among the first of the ‘first generation’ computers. Although processing power and storage capacities have increased beyond all recognition since the 1970’s the underlying technology of LSI (large scaled integration) or VLSI (very large scale integration) microchips ahs remained basically the same, so it is widely regarded that most of today’s computers still belong to the fourth generation.
